Building inside a game I know
World of Warcraft addon development is part of my wider work with game interfaces, community tools, and small playable systems. These projects use Lua to explore what an addon can add to a player’s existing session.
RPGQueue — a companion for the wait
RPGQueue is a queue-only incremental companion game. Care for Grub, a peon with vigor, morale, skill, and luck, while waiting for a dungeon or raid. Weighted events, simple care actions, a character portrait, and persistent state form the prototype’s loop.
KillingBlow — a cinematic death interface
KillingBlow explores a staged death scene with a recent-damage summary and player-controlled actions. Its development includes combat buffering, presentation fallbacks, and runtime debugging. The last recorded overlay-visibility issue remains unconfirmed as resolved.
Both entries are based on local source and development conversations. They are prototypes, with their implementation and remaining validation described in the individual case studies.
